Affinity

Eyes linger
a second too long
And widen
ever so slightly

Lips struggle
to contain a smile
When moistened
by the tongue’s lechery

Heart races
a bit faster now
Thumping in ears,
but just barely

Skin touches skin
in a handshake
Body heat
transfers so sweetly

Voice quivers
to state a Hello
Eyes search eyes
and dance playfully

Smile grows
to a grin and head tilts
From the weight
of affinity
